About Us

Established in 1908, JFS became an independent autonomous agency in 1953.  The agency serves people in the two most important aspects of their lives; family and work.  We are the only agency in Franklin County, and one of only a half dozen Jewish Family Services nationally, which provides this unique blend of mental health and career services to create an effective combination of empowering tools for clients.

Jewish Family Services has continuously evolved to meet the challenges facing our community members.  Whether it is counseling, outreach or career and workforce related assistance Jewish Family Services strives to be a Customer Focused, Quality Leader creating best practices and working to be a valued resource to our community.

Today, Jewish Family Services is nationally accredited by CARF, and is recognized for its staff's commitment to their work through recognition as a Best Place to Work in Central Ohio (2006)  and a Psychologically Healthy Workplace.  The agency is a model of the active practice of the Jewish value, Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) as it fulfills its mission as this Jewish community's representative to all individuals and families facing life's challenges.
