Help Me Grow
Help Me Grow is a program that provides health and
development services for Franklin County pregnant parents,
newborns, infants and toddlers, who meet specific criteria, so
that children may start school healthy and ready to learn.
Jewish Family Services' Service Coordinators work with pregnant
moms teaching them to care for themselves so they will have a
better chance of delivering a healthy child, and once the child
is born, educating them about the necessary steps to be taken,
such as making sure their baby receives immunizations, what to
look for developmentally as their child grows, making a home
safe for children and how the parent(s) may play a role in
helping their child become ready for learning.
Young children (ages 0-3) may need help early in life because of
premature birth, health problems or a diagnosed delay. They may
have a problem seeing, hearing, talking, thinking, playing or
moving. In this situation, the Service Coordinator will provide
an evaluation to determine if the child is eligible for Early
Intervention services, and then help the parents find services
the child needs as well as connect them to community resources
and support.
